THE YEAR  -  THE YEAR BEGINS

The sun’s magnetism shines
The moon’s bewitching light feathers
I glimpse at the pointed edges of my days
Trying to find the fullness of life
My mind reveries about lost loves,
Broken promises,
And unfulfilled hopes
Crystallized in thought
The days turn into weeks
The weeks turn into months
Soon the year ends

Today, I know daydreams crumble,
Broken promises disappear,
And my unfulfilled hopes
Were the cloaks of my illusions
I grasp with childlike anticipation
At the sun’s affinity to shine
At the moon’s magical glow…
The year begins.
